I spent my time jus runnin round to places that I thought was my home
I put em down I fell around this town trying to find my own
Used to be some escape that I'd lace and smoke to be alone
But I found i stare at my absence and always when I was stoned

I've tried to fly far away with my eyes
And I've died here inside and for so long tried to hide
Ain't no way around It guess I'll tell you a lie man fuck it all hell I've tried

Well I wake these mornings to wipe the hangover from my eyes
Walk myself on concrete and cuss the sky to wonder why I'm alive
I might sound a little insane but I'm jotting down my aching fed by time
So here I am again with a guitar playing for a dime

More and more I'm growing against myself and I can't stand these sun ray days
I'd rather be somewhere dark in a bar with the rest that wear there scars
But even there I'm reminded of how far away and at large
It's only here on a stage i strum away the pain of my thoughts
